HASTINGS LIONS COMMITTEE
Meet the People Behind the Work
Hastings Lions Club was formed in 1969 as a new addition to the international humanitarian organization originally setup in 1917.
The club serves the residents and communities of Hastings and St Leonard-On-Se. In the year 2014/2015 we donated £25,000 pounds to national and international good causes and £60,000 pounds to local organizations, charities and good causes.
We collected £6,250 pairs of spectacles for recycling, refurbishment and redistribution in less well developed countries. Our two annual events that we host are the Hastings half marathon (www.hastings-half.co.uk) and an annual golf tournament.
For over 30 years we have assisted in fund raising activities to raise money for those less fortunate than ourselves and assist other local organizations with their fundraising events.
Our mission statement is to help support our community.
